Recognize Someone!

One area this foundation supports is funding of special educational projects, which fall outside of the Seminole School District's ability to fund. We realize some of the educational opportunities for both the staff and students fall outside the normal budgets, yet have the potential to provide high levels of enhanced learning. An example of such a project could be a STEM project.

This funding can be done online through our website, or the proposal can be submitted directly to a trustee. The proposal needs to entail all prudent information, to include a description of the project, the benefit derived from the project, number of individuals benefiting from the project, as well as the funding amount requested. We would need to know the timeline involved and the contact information for the individuals making the request.

• Once the request is submitted to SCEF it will be reviewed and researched, then placed in front of the board so the trustees can vote on it.  If the board needs more information in order for a decision to be made, the individual who submitted the request may be asked to make a presentation to further explain the opportunity.

We are excited to help fund these types of requests, as we believe these projects can enhance our students' learning opportunities and help prepare them for making career choices.
