College Courses for High School Students

Funding for Concurrent College Classes for Juniors / Seniors

This foundation realizes how expensive college has become. Currently the Seminole State College can provide scholarships for seniors only. As a community we are grateful for their willingness to do so. We feel that it’s just as important for qualified juniors to have the same opportunity. The ability for both juniors and seniors to attend college classes and obtain college hours while attending High School gives the students a leg up on earning a college degree and saves them and their family’s significant expense.

SCEF will work hand in hand with both the High School and college. As the High School identifies all the qualified juniors  whom are eligible to take college classes, and they enroll, the foundation will in turn pay Seminole State College the tuition for these students.  The organization looks forward to giving the juniors the same opportunity, as provided to the seniors!

Merit Based Awards and Compensation

The Seminole Community Education Foundation realizes that teachers and administrators play a vital role in the success of our school district. This foundation believes that when educators/administrators go above and beyond their basic responsibilities, they will have an impact on our students' education which can be life changing. The ability of our students who graduate and are prepared to move on to the next chapter of their lives to become productive citizens no matter what their career choice may be profound and can only help them excel in their chosen profession.

We feel that these types of administrators and teachers deserve to be rewarded for their efforts. It is our goal to help attract and retain these types of individuals, who are willing and able to consistently help our school district become second to none.

We will work with the School Board, Administrators, teachers and the community in order to identify these unique individuals. Once identified we will find ways for the community to reward them for this effort.
