Where "Wow" Happens!

Seminole Oklahoma

The City of Seminole was established in 1906 and quickly became an oil boomtown. Named after the Seminole Indian Tribe that was relocated to this region after the signing of a government treaty in the 1800’s. Today Seminole is not just another bustling community full of enthusiastic citizens, it is a proud participant continuing the fantastic traditions of the Seminole Nation, one of the five federally recognized civilized tribes.

Seminole is recognized as a historic community with a flare for updating our “liveability”. In recent years, Seminole has added a state of the art wellness center complete with basketball courts, aerobic bikes, weights and free weights. The miles of new walking/biking trails are a perfect setting for one of the most fantastic holiday light festivals in the Southwest, as rated by an Oklahoma Tourism Magazine.
